The tricky aspect of the Word-PDF relationship is that, while a document can be converted from Word to PDF without any apparent changes, converting from PDF back to Word often introduces layout changes. This is because of the way the two formats are designed: Word stores information, while PDF stores appearance, and it's much easier to go from information to appearance than the other way around.
This affects editing as well. If you only need to make minor edits, then it's best to make the changes directly to the PDF in Nitro PDF Professional.
