If you choose to include a 12-month subscription to our Software Assurance Program (SAP) when you purchase you will receive 12-months access to premium support (as well as free major and minor upgrades).

You can activate your license by following these easy steps:

• Open Nitro PDF Pro
• Locate the Help ribbon, and in the Product group, click About
• Click Activation
• Click the Activate Nitro PDF Pro option, and then click Next
• Click Activate to complete the process

If you have problems activating automatically, please follow our steps for manual activation.

You can, but you first need to uninstall Nitro Pro (which will automatically deactivate your license from the original computer) by following these simple steps:

• Open the Windows Control Panel
• Go to Add/Remove Programs (Win XP) or Uninstall a program (Win Vista/7)
• Select the Nitro application you wish to uninstall by clicking on it with the left mouse button
• Click Uninstall

It depends on what version of Nitro Pro you have and where you bought it. If you bought Nitro Pro 7 from our website, your serial number (in alpha-numeric characters) can be found under the Help tab in the About section.

If you purchased Upgrade Assurance through a recent Nitro e-mail promotion, and received a serial number starting in NUA please use this in the upgrade form.

If you previously purchased Nitro Pro 6 from our website with Upgrade Assurance, please use your serial number (in alpha-numeric characters) which can be found in the e-mail receipt you would have received from Cleverbridge (Nitro's e-commerce provider).

Absolutely! Anyone with version 5 or above is eligible to upgrade to Nitro Pro 7.

You can also buy upgrade assurance to ensure that you always have the most up-to-date version of Nitro Pro. For customers with Nitro Pro v.5 or v.6, you can upgrade to Pro 7 for only $49.99.

Yes, PDFs created by Nitro Pro or Nitro Reader are done so according to the ISO standard (ISO 32000), and are viewable in other PDF viewers such as Adobe Reader. This applies to any additions or changes you make to PDF files in either Nitro Pro or Reader as well.
