A stamp is a class of PDF annotation that behaves in the same way as a conventional rubber stamp - it creates a marking over the top of the content of a single page. Stamp annotations are usually used to indicate document status: for example, 'draft' or 'cancelled'.

As an annotation, a PDF stamp does not modify the underlying page content, and the stamp can be made invisible at will to show the original page. It's also possible to add a text comment to a stamp annotation, and even for others to attach replies and further commentary to the stamp. As with other annotations, stamps are listed in the comments pane.

Nitro PDF Professional offers full PDF stamping capabilities. You can even define your own stamp presets using range of PDF review functionality, both for adding annotations and for organizing and compiling feedback.
