
Nitro PDF Professional also allows you to edit images and add permanent freehand drawings and shapes to images inside PDF documents. You open the image in the Image Editor window, edit it, and then insert it back into the document with the changes. See below for an overview of the editing tools available.

Zoom Tool. Lets you adjust the magnification level of the image you're editing. To zoom out with the Zoom tool, hold down Control and click on the image.
Hand Tool. Lets you move around when you are zoomed in on a large image.
Selection Tool. Lets you select an area of an image, which you can then cut, copy, paste, and even drag to another part of the image. To cut, copy, and paste, use the standard shortcuts of Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C, and Ctrl+V respectively. To move the selection, click on it, hold down the mouse button, and then drag to the desired location.
Eraser Tool.Lets you remove areas of the image and replace them with the color currently selected as the background color. You can adjust the size of the Eraser by clicking and holding down on the toolbar button until the different sizes appear.
Pencil Tool. Lets you add permanent freehand drawings to the image you have open in the Image Editor window.
Brush Tool. Lets you paint larger areas of the image. You can adjust the brush style and size by clicking and holding down on the toolbar button until the different options appear.
Line Tool. Lets you add lines to your image.
Rectangle Tool. Lets you add rectangles and boxes to your image. You can adjust the rectangle style by clicking and holding down on the toolbar button until the different options appear.
Ellipse Tool. Lets you add circular shapes to your image. This tool is used to create a new ellipse. You can adjust the ellipse style by clicking and holding down on the toolbar button until the different options appear.
Eyedropper/Select Color Tool. Lets you select the color from within the image, which you can then set as your default editing color.
Foreground/Background Color. Let you set the color used for the drawing and editing tools.
Note: If you are working on a grayscale image, then you will see a slider with which you can select from 0-100% gray. If you are working on a black & white image, then the choice is limited to simply black or white.
