Rotate PDF pages

Being able to rotate pages is often required when pages in portrait mode and landscape mode are mixed together in the one document as they make it difficult to read the document. For example, a PDF document may have content suited to landscape view mode, like tables and photos, and also contain text-heavy documents well suited to portrait mode. With Nitro PDF Professional you can rotate any page in 90° increments.

With Nitro PDF Professional you can rotate pages in two ways:

  • Rotate while viewing allows you to temporarily rotate all pages in the PDF you are currently viewing.
  • Rotate permanently allows you to change the rotation of one of more pages in a document and to save those changes.

To rotate a PDF document while viewing it:

  1. In the Rotate View toolbar, click the Rotate Clockwise tool or the Rotate Anti-clockwise tool.

Note: the rotation you make here is not saved when you close the document.

To rotate pages in a PDF permanently:

  1. Choose Edit > Pages > Rotate... , or right-click in the Page panel.
  2. Do any of the following as required:
    • Choose the rotation angle.
    • Specify the pages to rotate. Odd and Even Pages, Odd Page, Even Pages, Current page or a range of pages.

Tip: To modify non-sequential pages you can specify the exact pages under the Choose Pages option. For example, entering 1, 2, 6-7 will adjust only the four pages you have specified.
