To be able to use Nitro PDF Profesional version 5 to create a PDF under Internet Explorer on Windows Vista, there are a number of different workarounds:

1. You can use an alternative web browser (such as Firefox - http://en.www.mozilla.com/en/firefox/) instead of Internet Explorer to print web pages to PDF. Nitro PDF Driver 5 has no problem initializing when using Firefox on Windows Vista and UAC enabled.

2. Create a IE shortcut with "Run as administrator" selected in the advanced properties of the shortcut. This will allow you to open IE as the administrator and bypass the UAC restrictions.

  1. Right click the Internet Explorer icon and select "Create Shortcut".
  2. Right click the shortcut and select properties.
  3. Select the shortcut tab and click the "Advanced" button.
  4. Tick the "Run as administrator" tickbox and select "OK" then "Apply".
  5. Use the new IE shortcut to open the desired webpage and print to the Nitro PDF Driver 5 normally.

3. Disable UAC. You can do this via the following steps.

  1. Launch MSCONFIG by from the Run menu.
  2. Click on the Tools tab. Scroll down till you find "Disable UAC". Click on that line. Press the Launch button.
  3. A CMD window will open. When the command is done, you can close the window.
  4. Close MSCONFIG. You need to reboot the computer for changes to apply.

 4. If you wish to convert standard web pages viewed in Internet Explorer, you can download and install a free program we have created called PDF Download from this website: http://www.pdfdownload.org/

(Note: Web pages on sites that require you to login or set specific cookie session info (such as your date of birth) before accessing them cannot be converted using PDF Download)
