The button is a member of the family of PDF form controls, which are used for giving PDFs data-collection and submission capabilities. A button is a rectangular area that animates when clicked, and that can be formatted to look like a conventional button with a caption and a bevelled edge. Most importantly, buttons can have one or more actions attached to each of a host of different button events, such as mouse-click, mouse-release, focus, blur and so on. Links, by comparison, can also have associated actions; but the only event a link can detect is a mouse-release.
Nitro PDF Professional fully supports PDF form use, creation and editing, including PDF scripting via Javascript.
