Actions are operations that the PDF viewer application can be set to perform in response to some event initiated by the user, and are used to add interactivity to PDF files. Commonly-used actions include going to a page in the document and changing the magnification level, opening a file, loading a URL in an external web-browsing application, or executing some Javascript code; common triggers for actions include clicking a bookmark, going to a page, or selecting a form field.
