Nitro Pro 7 Review: Create and Edit PDF Files
Appeared in About.com on November 2, 2011
When I first opened the program, I felt as if I had used it before. This is thanks to the ribbon navigation bar (developed by Microsoft). It functions smoothly and tasks are intuitive.

I’ve long been an Adobe Acrobat user, but after this review, would certainly consider switching. Why wouldn’t you, if you can do everything you need to but for less money? Depending on your Acrobat version, it might actually cost you more to upgrade…

For the past six years, small Australian software company Nitro, founded in Melbourne but now based in San Francisco, has been taking on Adobe with some home-grown software that makes such tasks easy and cheap.

The company's big success story has been Nitro Pro, launched in 2005, and directly aimed at Adobe Acrobat but (so Nitro claims) easier to use, faster and just $99.99...

Acrobat and its alternatives: 4 ways to edit PDFs by Howard Wen
Appeared in Computerworld on November 2, 2010
So I have to give the nod to Nitro PDF Professional 6. For the same price as Foxit and Nuance, it's a nice balance between the editing tools of Acrobat and Nuance and the speed of Foxit.

It has the most efficient user interface — thanks to the fact that it uses browserlike tabs — when it comes to editing text and manipulating images, especially when you need to cut and paste among multiple documents opened at the same time...
